Born and raised in Haiti, I received the best education possible through elementary and secondary school. Like many children whose parents had already migrated, I later came to the United States. I have lived here for more than three decades.

During these years, my homeland has endured some of the darkest chapters in its history. At times, I question whether I should consider myself lucky, favored, or destined. Yet one truth remains undeniable: on the other side of comfort, someone is denied an education; someone is hungry; someone lives in fear; someone’s rights are violated; someone is dying. That is not living.

The vision behind creating this radio station is a refusal to remain silent. It is a call to speak about what matters, what carries meaning, what has value. It is about bringing people together to educate, to inspire, and to remind them that it is not acceptable to live under such conditions.

I ask: What do we bring to the table?
How do we contribute to development?
How do we confront injustice, live with purpose, and make our voices heard?

This is my movement.
To be a voice for the voiceless.
A light in darkness.
Strength for the weary.

To help everyone understand that they carry limitless potential, that they can become all they aspire to be. Nothing can stop them. The sky's the limit. We live in the land of opportunity, and the greatest barriers we face are the ones we place upon ourselves.

We have lost our identity. It is time to reclaim it.
We will no longer say it is someone else’s fault.
We choose accountability.
We choose to rise.

Rise with me.

Haitians, Sursum Corda.
